End of a Wasp Season - Wasps in House

Wasps in house in autumn. Wasp control service in Glasgow, Ayrshire and Inverclyde

Wasp season 2017 in Scotland is nearing its end in October but in the houses where wasps have been known nesting on during the spring and summer wasps suddenly start appearing indoors.

Wasps still in house in autumn and winter. Wasp control in Glasgow, Ayrshire and Inverclyde.

If you suddenly start to see wasps appearing in numbers at this time of year (especially on the upper floors) there is still an active wasp nest or few nests up in the loft or inside a roof or wall void. If you know about an active wasp nest on your house, it is a last opportunity now to have it treated before it gets too cold and the future wasp queens having reproduced would start leaving their old nests to look for suitable hibernation site while likely ending up inside your home. The new wasp queens that overwinter successfully will start new nests (likely near the old ones) to multiply again in the next year.

Our wasp control service to treat active wasp nests is available in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire and Inverclyde. Fumigation of lofts and liquid sprays to quickly control and manage inward influx of wasps in homes are at hand for affordable prices. Although old (inactive) wasp nests have no longer any importance in pest control, we can remove them for disposal throughout the winter on customer's request.
