Cockroach Control
Identification of Cockroaches
The two of the most prolific cockroach species we regularly come across in and around Glasgow and in Scotland are German and Oriental cockroaches, especially German cockroaches.
Please follow links to our pest identification page to help you identify Oriental cockroach and German cockroach, plus you can read more about both the cockroach species on a page dedicated to them on this website.

How to Prepare the House for and after a Treatment
For health & safety reasons, no children and pets are allowed in the property to-be-treated during the administering of an insecticidal treatment. This takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. We recommend pulling furniture away from the walls by 1ft that would allow our technician for better access when spraying insecticide.
Vacuuming or sweeping and mopping the edges of the floor before each treatment is recommended for your convenience because you will be advised not to do so for 2 - 3 weeks after each treatment.
Cockroach Control & Eradication
Cockroaches are some of the toughest urban insect pests to control and eradicate. We do highly-effective treatments that harness the safe use of a range of professional-grade insecticides, administered in different formulations as a coarse insecticidal spray, gel-bait and dust (powder).
Treatment to Control German Cockroaches
-
Residual liquid insecticide applied as a coarse spray along edges of the floor as (invisible) bands as well as onto the walls in various heights because German cockroaches are good climbers.
-
Dust (powder) formulation insecticide with a long residual life into cavities and voids, usually in the kitchen.
-
Edible cockroach-gel baits (with delayed effect) are dispensed so as cockroaches that have consumed it are allowed to retreat to their usual harbourages where they can be consumed by their peers, creating a so-called domino effect.
For eradication of German cockroaches, we recommend 3 to 4 treatments, administered in 2 to 3 weeks intervals between them.
Treatment to Control Oriental Cockroaches
-
Residual liquid insecticide is applied with a compression sprayer as a coarse (invisible) band along edges of the floor in all internal areas of the infested property on and near the floor level.
-
Dust (powder) formulation insecticide with a long residual life into cavities and voids, usually in the kitchen.
-
Edible cockroach-gel baits (with delayed effect) are dispensed so as cockroaches that have consumed it are allowed to retreat to their usual harbourages where they can be consumed by their peers, creating a so-called domino effect. Cockroach gels are very useful in control where cockroaches are suspected to migrate between neighbouring dwellings or within a tenement building with several apartments and communal areas.
For eradication of Oriental cockroaches, we recommend 4 to 6 treatments, administered in 4 weeks intervals between them.
