Squirrel

Quote for Removal of Grey Squirrel from £79

Catching and removing an offending squirrel usually takes us 2 visits over 1 week and it costs £79.

Occasionally, it may require more visits and/or more time. Setting up more traps increases this price by £15 per

1 additional trap. Additional follow up inspections and resetting or moving squirrel traps (more than 2 visits) cost £25 per visit. A trap hire fee of £3 per day for a cage trap and £1 per day for a spring-loaded trap is not charged in the 1st week. Most squirrels are caught within one week.

Description of our standard squirrel control service to be delivered:

Live squirrel trapping with cage trap

A cage trap for catching a grey squirrel alive is usually placed and set up baited

in the loft space. It has to be checked on daily for when a squirrel is caught to prevent the animal from unnecessary suffering. It is our preferred method of catching a single squirrel for a high success rate and furthermore, it gives us flexibility to follow customers' wishes regarding disposal of caught squirrels.

Trapping squirrels with deadly spring loaded traps

Spring loaded squirrel traps such as Magnum Body Grip provide a clean and quick kill to caught grey squirrels. These traps are highly effective where more than 1 squirrel are present and they do not have to be checked on daily. Spring loaded traps are normally deployed indoors, mainly in lofts. Outside, a spring-loaded trap could only be used to control grey squirrels if set up within a protective tunnel to prevent accidental harm to non-target animals or pets.

Both of the above squirrel control methods can be combined and the number of set squirrel traps suited to customer's needs.

On the customer's request, we can do temporary squirrel proofing for a discounted price on the property after catching and removing a squirrel or squirrels . Please feel free to speak to our attending technician at their initial visit.

Recommendations and advice on grey squirrel prevention are provided free on customer's request.

Rats

Fast-response Rat Control Service

We aim to visit all our customers within 48 hours of their request for rat control service.

Safe Control of Rats

Our technician will survey your property and its exterior including the surrounding landscape to confirm (or rule out) rats, will assess the infestation you might have and discuss with you the pest-control action plan to follow, including safety and risk management. Our standard rat control treatments are children and pet friendly, also are safe for non-target animals.

Effective Treatments to Get Rid of Rats

Rodenticide is administered safely inside lockable tamper-resistant rat baiting stations that are positioned outside the premises to-be-treated for rats. Rat burrows are baited with loose-formulation rodenticides. Fast acting rodenticides are simultaneously safely laid inside rat infested buildings. Where rats are reluctant in taking edible baits, we can use contact rodenticide in access-restricted areas. Spent bait along with accessible carcasses is recovered at a follow up inspection has been included in price 2 to 4 weeks later.

Rat Proofing and Other Advice

On customer's request, we can check and quote for potential rat proofing might be required to prevent rats from entry to the house/flat in the future. The materials we use to block access (holes and gaps) and deter rats from entry are steel wool, expanding foam and chicken wire. Any proofing work is ideally done after (internal) rat control treatment is completed, on the follow up inspection, at discounted price.

Feel free to ask our attending technician about rat proofing during survey at the initial visit.

Quotes for Exterminating Rats

All quotes below are for 1 treatment and 1 follow up inspection only.

Rat infestations are usually started by rats exploring wider area they frequent before opportunistically coming into houses in search of food, shelter and new potential breeding sites.

Most of the light to moderate rat infestations we control are successfully tackled  with just 1 treatment and 1 follow up inspection.

Long-standing & wide-spread rat infestations may however require repeat treatments to be reliably removed. On customer's request, we can provide a repeat treatment at half price of the initial one, plus 1 free follow up inspection.

There is no call out charge or charge for a survey If you have rats and we can do a treatment to control them for you. However, if you do not have rats (or any other pest rodents) we would charge you £30 for completing an initial inspection only.

Starting/light rat infestations

Rats are nocturnal rodents and therefore their presence outdoors can be easily overlooked at the start of rat infestation. The rats may have a nest nearby and pass through your garden as they regularly travel between nesting and feeding sites. If rats can no longer find enough food sources and available breeding sites in the places they normally frequent (bins, rubbish tips etc.), they start entering houses. We recommend you to control rats outside before they would become a problem inside your home.

£90 - 1 rat control treatment (placement of 4 external bait stations and burrow baiting outside your house) and 1 follow up inspection.

Advanced/moderate rat infestations

From the moment rats came to your garden, it might only take them a couple of more weeks  to find  a way into your house. Rats can gain entry via gaps and holes exceeding 1 inch not only on or near the ground level but they also are good climbers can make it up the walls with rough (roughcast) and semi-smooth surfaces. The usual entry points are broken air vents, gaps around pipes and cables, gap under door or even a broken soffit near the roof. Some areas of (any) house are therefore more prone to be infested by rats before others (areas).  To tackle a moderate rat infestation outdoors as well as indoors, we usually cover the outside  (of the property to-be-treated) with 4 external bait stations and lay (rodenticidal) baits into internal key areas of the flat or house, in the places where rats are most likely to enter or where they have already been sighted, alternatively where signs of rats such as smears, gnawing or droppings are present.

Our rat control deal:

(Most frequently requested by customers)

£110 - 1 rat control treatment (placement of 4 external bait stations (with rodenticide) and burrow baiting outside your house, plus in all key internal areas such as in the kitchen, in storage and utility cupboards and in the basement (if accessible) and 1 follow up inspection. The areas to-be-treated may also include 1 bedroom or a living room in this option.

Extending the treatment for a loft space or a (1-car) garage (recommended) would add £0 to this deal.

Severe rat infestations

It may have taken a couple of years while the property was neglected that rats were able to make it their home. A severe rat infestation in residential property may harbour as many as 50 to in excess of 100 rats per infested house, dependent on its size.

To tackle a severe rat infestation of this scale, we place 4 external bait stations, do burrow and cavity baiting (with rodenticide) outside the property to-be-treated as well as we are covering all of its internal areas (with rodenticidal) baits in every room, incl. utilities.

Our price of the treatment is based on the actual size of the property to-be-treated as follows:

£110 - 1 bedroom flat or a studio

£116 - 2-bed flat or house

plus £20 to include loft

£122 - 3-bed flat or house

£128 - 4-bed house or flat

£134 - 5-bed house or flat

plus £30 to include loft

Where mice are reluctant in taking edible baits, we can use contact rodenticide in access-restricted areas. Spent rodenticide is recovered along with accessible carcasses at a follow up inspection has been included in price a week to 10 days later.

Quotes for Exterminating Mice

All quotes below are for 1 treatment and 1 follow up inspection only.

Most mouse infestations we deal with are successfully tackled and removed with just 1 treatment and 1 follow up inspection.

Long-standing, wide-spread mouse infestations may however require repeat treatments for reliable eradication of the small but troublesome vermin. On customer's request,  we can provide a repeat treatment at half price of the initial one, plus 1 free follow up inspection.

There is no call out charge or charge for a survey If you have mice and we can do a treatment to control them for you. However, if you do not have mice (or any other pest rodents) we would charge you £30 for completing an initial inspection only.

Developing mouse infestations

Most mouse infestations start in one room, usually but not always it is in the kitchen where mice are attracted to because of food, before mice spread into other rooms across the house. Therefore it applies if the presence of mice is identified early, the price for their destruction is cheaper because the treatment focuses on the one area only.

£79 - 1 mouse control treatment in a kitchen of average size or in any 1 other room (e.g. a hallway incl. a storage cupboard) and 1 follow up inspection.

Moderate mouse infestations

It often is the case mice are already infesting/living in several areas of the house even though the whole property is not (yet) overrun by the vermin In such a case, we focus our treatment on the areas where mice have either been seen or their signs (e.g. droppings) are still present.

Our mouse control deal:

(Most frequently requested by customers)

£97 - 1 mouse control treatment in all key areas of a flat or house such as the kitchen plus pantry, bathroom, (up-to 4) utility and storage cupboards and a hallway (at the front and back doors). The areas to-be-treated may also include 1 bedroom or a living room in this option.

Extending the treatment for a loft space or a (1-car) garage (recommended) would add £0 to this deal.

Severe mouse infestations

It might be you have a property that is severely infested with mice (mouse droppings are, or mice have been sighted, in most or all rooms. On this occasion, we would recommend you a thorough treatment in all rooms as well as in all other internal areas of the house or flat.

Our price of the treatment is based on the actual size of the property to-be-treated as follows:

£100 - 1 bedroom flat or a studio

£110 - 2-bed flat or house

plus £20 to include loft

£120 - 3-bed flat or house
